Makr Spotlight On Neenah Paper

We love all things digital (we’re app makers, after all), but that could never replace our love of old-fashioned, made-by-hand craftsmanship. We know how awesome it feels to hold something in your hands and say that you made it – that’s why we think receiving professional prints of your Makr project is so special.

So much of that experience depends on the paper quality. When developing Makr, we searched high and low for the perfect paper base for every project. We picked one stock – 130-pound Neenah Solar White Cover– because we think that it’s the absolute best all around for beautiful, high-quality digital prints. It has a nice weight and, being uncoated, is environmentally friendly.

We’re also proud to have partnered with Neenah Paper, a US-based paper-making company in Neenah, WI, because they care about what they make as much as we do. Since 1873, Neenah has focused on old-world craftsmanship and now combines that mastery with modern technology. (We love that Neenah values both digital tech and the handmade movement, too!)

Neenah’s long history as a supporter and champion of local makers and crafters makes our partnership on Makr projects a perfect fit. They’ve been making paper for makers for 125+ years, and it’s a responsibility they take seriously, understanding that the quality of what they do ultimately affects the quality of the maker’s finished result.

According to Neenah, “when you ‘make’ for other makers, you have a responsibility to them. We work hard to be the best at what we do everyday. What gets us going every morning is creativity, the joy of making.”
