DIY School Lunch Labels

This cute project falls under the “holy grail of DIY,” demanding little time and budget yet yielding a super-sweet finished product. Our on-the-go product manager Alexandra packs lunch for her daughter Plum and has to label its contents as per school rules. Like Alex did, you can turn to Makr to create custom labels and note cards to make your kid’s lunchtime something really special and extra thoughtful this year. (This labeling system is also a neat time-saver if you’re packing lunches for multiple kiddos!)

Make your custom designs in Makr, then print your projects at home using Avery’s Print-To-The-Edge Round Labels for the round stickers and the Full-Sheet Shipping Labels for the small labels.

Label each contained snack with a round sticker. Add a teacher’s note (like special heating instructions or an allergy) when necessary.

With a quick note card design and at-home printing, you can have a stockpile of note cards to drop in your child’s lunch bags all year long. Jot down a sweet “Have a great day!” note, or include a helpful reminder, like “Remember to bring your science project home!” or “Don’t forget – soccer practice after school today.”
